President of BAM Advisor Services
Al Sears joined BAM Advisor Services in 2003, and as the firm has grown and evolved over the years, so too has Al’s integral contribution to the firm’s leadership team and overall success.
Al’s trajectory is a testament to his versatile skills, passion for the firm’s pledge to “do well by doing good” and his keen eye for strategic growth. Today, Al serves as president of BAM Advisor Services, where he oversees the implementation of the firm’s strategic plan.
Delivering a best-in-class client experience is near to Al’s heart. As such, he works with other members of the firm’s leadership to ensure the efficient execution of client-focused operational and strategic initiatives for BAM ALLIANCE member firms. In addition to directing the strategic growth of the BAM ALLIANCE, he is firmly committed to continually strengthening the community of wealth advisors who share a devotion to helping clients achieve their most important goals.
Al, who sits on the firm’s Board of Directors and Operating Committee, has nearly 15 years of business and industry experience in team development and management. His previous roles at the firm include chief operating officer of BAM Advisor Services and Buckingham Strategic Wealth, as well as director of fixed income.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Al has long leveraged his talents and financial know-how to benefit his community. Locally, he is an advocate for the at-risk populations in St. Louis through his involvement with the nonprofit Employment Connection, where he sits on the board of directors and serves as treasurer. He is also a member of the State of Missouri’s investment advisory committee. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel invited Sears to join this committee, which is a small group of investment professionals who provide support directly to the treasurer.
Al lives in Glendale, Mo., with his wife Joy, son Andrew and daughters Natalie and Gianna. They are active members of the St. Peter Parish in Kirkwood, Mo.
